SECL Recruitment 2024 Qualification
All the eligibility criteria are discussed below:
- Candidates must possess a 4-year degree for graduate apprenticeship or a 3-year diploma in the relevant stream/branch of engineering for technician apprenticeship. Equivalent qualifications granted by an institution recognized by the Government are also acceptable.
Applicants for graduate apprenticeship should be Graduate Engineers, while those applying for technician apprenticeship should have completed a 3-year diploma in the relevant engineering stream. The diploma duration can be 3 years after class 10th or 2 years after 12th, provided the candidate qualifies for lateral entry into the 2nd year of such courses. A one-year diploma is not permitted. The mode of education must be regular (full-time) for eligibility for apprenticeship training.
It is important to note that, based on communication received from AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and the approved process handbook of AICTE, there is a provision for lateral entry into the second year of a diploma course for 10+2 pass candidates, subject to certain conditions. The duration of all diploma engineering courses is either 3 or 4 years after class 10th.
- Candidates are required to register on the National Apprenticeship Training Portal NATS 2.0 (https://nats.education.gov.in) of the Board of Apprenticeship Training, Western Region, Mumbai.
- The online application must be submitted by candidates through the link provided on the SECL website before 12:00 midnight on Tuesday, 27th February 2024.
- Candidates must not have undergone apprenticeship training in any other institution previously.
- The candidate should not have completed employment or service at any establishment for one year or more.
- Candidates should not be pursuing or have completed a Postgraduate/M.Tech. qualification.
- Candidates should have attained the age of 18 as of 13th February 2024.
- Candidates should not have passed their engineering degree/diploma more than 5 years before the date of joining as an apprentice.
SECL Recruitment 2024 Salary
Selected candidates are will receive a stipend based on the minimum rate as per Rule 11 (2) of Apprenticeships 1992.
- For Graduate apprentices, the stipend is currently Rs. 9000/- per month.
- For Technician apprentices, the stipend is presently Rs. 8000/- per month.

The selection process for the SECL Apprentice Recruitment 2024 is conducted in accordance with established selection norms and consists of the following stages:
Stage 1: Merit-Based Shortlisting
Candidates are shortlisted based on the marks obtained in their qualifying examination (degree/diploma).
Stage 2: Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Document Verification to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and submitted documents are authentic.
Stage 3: Medical Examination
Candidates who successfully complete Document Verification will undergo a Medical Examination to confirm their physical fitness for the program requirements.
