- A four-year Graduate Engineering degree (B.Tech) in the respective discipline from an AICTE-approved institute obtained through Regular Mode is required.

- A three-year Diploma Engineering degree in the respective discipline from an AICTE-approved institute obtained through Regular Mode is required.

NHPC Recruitment 2024 Salary
During the one-year apprenticeship at Baira Siul Power Station, Graduate Apprentice Trainees will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 9000, while Diploma Apprentice Trainees will receive Rs. 8000 per month. These stipends are in accordance with the norms of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and guidelines from the Ministry of Skill Development.

The selection process includes the following stages.
Selection Process:
- Application and Eligibility: Make sure you meet the qualifications for your chosen trade (Civil, Electrical, etc.) and successfully register on the Apprenticeship portal.
- Shortlisting and Interview: If your application meets the requirements, NHPC will contact you via email with an interview call letter. This letter will provide information about the date, time, and location of your interview. During the interview, they’ll assess your knowledge and skills relevant to the trade you applied for.
- Selection Criteria: Your educational background (20%), interview performance (40%), and technical skills (40%) will be considered for final selection.
- Medical Fitness: If you’re selected, you’ll need to submit a medical fitness certificate issued by a government authority (District Civil Surgeon or equivalent) before officially starting your apprenticeship training. This is a mandatory requirement as per the Apprentice Act, 1961[2].
- Travel and Expenses: Keep in mind that NHPC won’t reimburse any travel expenses (TA/DA) for attending the interview or document verification process.
